Current Scholars

What Does It Mean to Be a Knott Scholar?

The charism of the Knott Scholarship Funds includes:

  • Actively increasing one’s own and others’ awareness of the needs of others, especially within the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
  • Using demonstrated academic excellence to mercifully serve those in need.
  • Acting with integrity.
  • Seeking leadership positions that will benefit others.
  • Enthusiastically participating in their local Catholic parish.
  • Developing and maintaining a dynamic Knott Scholar community.

Expectations

Based on the charism, the Knott Scholarship Funds expect that those who have completed four years of education as a Knott Scholar will:

  • Seek opportunities to broaden one’s awareness of the needs of others, especially in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
  • Participate in opportunities to meet the needs of others.
  • Continuously and intentionally identify as a Knott Scholar while maintaining the integrity expected of all Knott Scholars by wearing their Knott Scholarship pin at formal events and including “Knott Scholar” on their signature line and resumes.
  • Seek leadership positions.
  • Enthusiastically participate in their local Catholic parish.
  • Maintain contact with the Knott Scholarship Funds at all times.
  • Actively support other Knott Scholar Alumni and current Knott Scholars as they follow the charism of the Knott Scholarship Funds.
