{"id":1917,"date":"2023-10-12T20:04:56","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T01:04:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.knottscholar.org\/?p=1917"},"modified":"2023-10-31T18:27:41","modified_gmt":"2023-10-31T23:27:41","slug":"success-at-camp-umoja-book-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/knottscholar.org\/es\/success-at-camp-umoja-book-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Success at Camp Umoja Book Drive!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Guest Writer: Caroline Habiger- Secondary Knott Scholar Alumna (NDP 2023) &amp; Current Knott Scholar at Loyola University Maryland (2027)<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Knott Scholarship Funds partnered with Charm City Books over the summer to collect book donations for the campers of Camp Umoja, a summer day camp held at Notre Dame Preparatory School for residents of the Housing Authority of Baltimore.<\/p>\n<p>Knott Scholars assisted in distributing the donated books to the campers of Camp Umoja in July at NDP. The books were arranged on a table by book type, and the assortment included picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books.
