The Knott Scholarship Funds are delighted to share the following changes to our eligibility requirements.
For University Scholarships – the geographic restriction has been removed. Students who live, and are registered parishioners in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, including Alleghany, Garrett, and Washington Counties, are now eligible to apply for Knott Scholarship consideration from the three Catholic Universities in Maryland: Notre Dame of Maryland University, Loyola University Maryland, and Mount St. Mary’s University.
For Secondary Students, the Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce that the geographic restriction for secondary students has been lifted. Students who now reside, and are registered parishioners in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, including Allegany, Garrett, and Washington counties, are now eligible to apply for a Knott Secondary Scholarship to attend a Catholic high school located within the footprint of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
“I know how thrilled my parents would be to see our ability to grant full tuition scholarships, and scholarship assistance, to academically excellent students now include Western Maryland. Their dream was to encourage students to become leaders in the Catholic community. This expansion allows the Funds to continue to fulfill their dreams,” said Martin Knott, Board Chair of the Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Scholarship Fund.
Knott Scholars, chosen for their academic excellence, also have access to leadership and service opportunities with both current and alumni Knott Scholars.
