The Knott Scholarship Funds partnered with Charm City Books over the summer to collect book donations for the campers of Camp Umoja, a summer day camp held at Notre Dame Preparatory School for residents of the Housing Authority of Baltimore.
Knott Scholars assisted in distributing the donated books to the campers of Camp Umoja in July at NDP. The books were arranged on a table by book type, and the assortment included picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books. Ultimately, volunteers distributed a total of eighty books to thirty campers, aged 5-11 years old.
